Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, this conceptual masterpiece of the Minneapolis Sound utilizes a party-oriented narrative framework to link its tracks. O'Neal's commanding vocal delivery is perfectly balanced against sharp, synthesized funk rhythms and deeply sensual slow jams, making it a definitive record of 80s R&B.
