Album Notes & Community Reviews
The seventh solo album from Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor, 'Paris In The Spring' is a revealing and musically carefree work that draws on leftfield pop, country, and elegant disco-house. The album features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including members of Air, The Avalanches, and Scritti Politti, blending a confessional songwriting style with futuristic funk and pop melodicism. The title alludes to a psychological test where things are not as they appear, encouraging listeners to find double meanings under the surface of the bright and contemporary sound.
