Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the dissolution of the wildly successful synth-pop duo Yazoo, Moyet launched her solo career with this sophisticated, heavily soul-influenced release. Produced by the prolific team of Swain and Jolley, the album perfectly pairs her booming, bluesy vocal delivery with pristine mid-80s electronic pop arrangements. The record was a massive critical and commercial triumph in the UK, solidifying her status as a premier vocalist of the era.
