Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out from his legendary role as a producer and songwriter for others, the New Orleans maestro delivered a flawlessly smooth, funk-infused solo effort. The album features his trademark, highly syncopated piano playing and relaxed vocal delivery across a set of pristine, soulful compositions like the classic 'From a Whisper to a Scream'. It beautifully showcases the foundational brilliance of the Crescent City's most important musical architect.
