Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collaborating deeply with the house production team Truth & Soul, the Californian artist pivoted away from alternative hip-hop to deliver a masterful throwback to 1970s consciousness-soul. Pushed forward by incredibly infectious, cinematic horn arrangements and poignant lyrics addressing economic hardship, the record catapulted him to widespread international acclaim.
