Album Notes & Community Reviews
Before fully committing to their completely acoustic, Elizabethan aesthetic, the British trio delivered a debut that cautiously balanced traditional folk with subtle electric rock instrumentation. The tracks merge highly romantic, renaissance-influenced melodies with conventional drumming and light psych-rock flourishes. It captures the group in a fascinating transitional state before their move to Island Records.
