Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicated explicitly to victims of global political oppression, the Brooklyn-based avant-garde ensemble unleashes a fiery, intensely protest-oriented brand of spiritual free jazz. Amirtha Kidambi's fiercely powerful, wordless vocal improvisations soar over chaotic saxophone squalls and hypnotic, Hindustani-influenced polyrhythms to create a profoundly urgent musical statement.
