Album Notes & Community Reviews
Introducing a new vocalist, the Finnish metal act revitalizes their sound by leaning heavily into melodic death metal intertwined with sweeping folk melodies. The lyrical concept draws directly from the Kalevala, specifically focusing on the tragic tale of Kullervo. The record initiated a highly successful and critically acclaimed new era for the band.
