Elegy

Lyrically rooted in the ancient Finnish poetry of the Kanteletar, the band radically expanded their musical framework beyond their death-doom origins. The introduction of clean vocalist Pasi Koskinen and extensive use of traditional folk melodies completely redefined the group's sonic identity. This eclectic integration of progressive structures and indigenous folklore proved highly influential for the developing folk metal subgenre.
