Album Notes & Community Reviews

Guided by renowned producer Jens Bogren, the Finnish veterans inject a renewed sense of heavy, death-metal aggression into their sweeping, folk-infused progressive sound. The album effectively balances Tomi Joutsen's fierce gutturals and soaring clean vocals alongside dense layers of traditional flute and orchestral elements. Lyrically, it continues their deep thematic exploration of the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala.
