Album Notes & Community Reviews
On the conceptual album 'The Sleeping City', An Abstract Illusion continues its push into atmospheric progressive death metal, merging its established foundation with pronounced synthwave and ambient electronic influences to create a dystopian, sci-fi soundscape. The songwriting is defined by densely layered compositions, where soaring melodic guitar leads, intricate keyboard arpeggios, and an alternation between harsh and clean vocals build upon expansive, dynamic arrangements.
