Album Notes & Community Reviews

The notoriously secretive Dutch collective continues their signature, deeply melancholic synthesis of 1980s post-punk and black metal. The album prominently features shimmering, new wave-inspired analog synthesizers juxtaposed directly against abrasive, lo-fi guitar distortion and anguished screams, resulting in a profoundly sentimental, wintery atmosphere. It stands as a gorgeous, incredibly sad highlight of modern atmospheric post-metal.
