Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following up his cult-classic debut, Ananda Shankar delved further into fusing Indian classical traditions with intensely groovy, synthesizer-heavy Western funk and psychedelia. 'Ananda Shankar and His Music' prominently features the Moog synthesizer squaring off against traditional sitar lines, resulting in a wildly energetic, highly danceable masterpiece of 1970s global fusion.
