Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stripping down material from their acclaimed transition away from doom metal, the British band reimagines their back catalog through lush, semi-acoustic arrangements. Emphasizing gorgeous cello parts and Danny Cavanagh's intricate acoustic guitar playing, the record successfully recasts their atmospheric rock anthems into sweeping, emotionally devastating neoclassical chamber pieces. It highlights the profound melodic core underlying their heavy music origins.
