Album Notes & Community Reviews

The veteran Texan ensemble continues their ambitious, highly theatrical evolution away from the chaotic post-hardcore of their youth toward deeply progressive, cinematic art rock. 'IX' features remarkably complex, highly shifting instrumental suites, sweeping piano arrangements, and massive, triumphant vocal choruses. It stands as a fiercely energetic, wonderfully eclectic, and incredibly epic addition to their legendary discography.
