Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating as a deeply spiritual cross-cultural synthesis, French guitarist Andr茅 Fertier's 'Clivage' weaves traditional Hindustani ragas with progressive jazz-rock. The acoustic and electric instrumentation seamlessly incorporates tabla and sitar, cultivating a warm, deeply hypnotic atmosphere. The record is a stunningly peaceful artifact of the global world-fusion movement developing in late 70s Europe.
