Album Notes & Community Reviews
The highly accomplished indie-folk virtuoso noticeably dials back his complex wordplay and looping violin experimentation for his most direct, autobiographical album yet. The record documents his recent marriage and his wife's battle with a serious illness, wrapping these intense personal narratives in bright, accessible chamber pop. It notably features a powerful, critically acclaimed duet with Fiona Apple on 'Left Handed Kisses'.
