Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following up the massive critical success of 'Armchair Apocrypha', this record presents a slightly more subdued, acoustic-driven approach to the artist's signature baroque-pop sound. The compositions heavily utilize intricate violin looping, complex whistling, and highly literate, zoologically inspired lyricism. It further solidified his reputation as one of the most uniquely virtuosic, classically trained voices in American indie folk.
