Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning to the studio after a lengthy absence, the legendary pianist and composer delivered a masterful late-career highlight. 'Dusk' features a highly intuitive sextet navigating Hill's complex, angular compositions, inspired heavily by the literary works of Jean Toomer and balancing rich post-bop tradition with avant-garde exploration.
