Album Notes & Community Reviews
Led by saxophonist and composer Daniel Glatzel, the debut recording of this massive eighteen-piece Berlin ensemble is a vibrant collision of jazz improvisation and classical chamber composition. The intricate, constantly shifting arrangements blend swing traditions with avant-garde quirkiness and cinematic grandiosity. It established the collective as one of the most unpredictable and technically dazzling big bands of their generation.
