Codiaeum variegatum

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The remarkably subtle British sound artist constructs a deeply immersive, highly textural electroacoustic environment sourced entirely from manipulated field recordings and subtle synthesizer drones. 'Codiaeum variegatum' features incredibly slow, glacial progressions that reward intense, focused listening, slowly revealing hidden layers of acoustic detail. The entirely instrumental record serves as a profoundly atmospheric, brilliantly restrained masterclass in contemporary ambient music.
