The Swedish progressive rock quartet stepped slightly away from their heavily King Crimson-indebted origins toward a more accessible, atmosphere-driven sound. The prevalent use of Mellotron remains intact, washing over melancholic, mid-tempo compositions that favor mood over sheer technical display.
