Album Notes & Community Reviews
Formed by Tom DeLonge during Blink-182's indefinite hiatus, Angels & Airwaves debuted with a sound deliberately reaching for stadium-sized grandeur. 'We Don't Need to Whisper' layers delayed U2-style guitar textures and prominent synthesizers over sweeping, optimistic pop-rock anthems. The ambitious sonic shift polarized critics but successfully established a devoted new fanbase.
