Album Notes & Community Reviews
Solidifying her status as the preeminent voice of the 'quiet storm' format, this immensely successful release topped the Billboard 200 and R&B charts simultaneously. The production is incredibly lush and romantic, perfectly framing her rich, emotive vocal performances. It is widely considered a definitive milestone in late-eighties adult contemporary and smooth soul music[cite: 1].
