Album Notes & Community Reviews
Backed by the legendary Hi Rhythm Section, Ann Peebles delivered an absolute masterclass in incredibly tight, Memphis-style deep soul. Highlighted by its famously sampled, brilliantly evocative title track, the album is wonderfully rhythmic and deeply sensual, matching fiercely passionate vocal performances with beautifully melodic tales of romantic longing.
