Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at the legendary Royal Recording Studios in Memphis, Ann Peebles' 'If This Is Heaven' pairs her gritty, powerful southern soul vocals with lush late-70s arrangements. Produced by Willie Mitchell, the album subtlely integrates pulsing disco rhythms and string sweeps into the classic Hi Records swamp-pop aesthetic. Peebles delivers passionate, emotionally charged performances throughout.
