Album Notes & Community Reviews
The fourth studio album by Norwegian fiddler Annbj酶rg Lien, 'Baba Yaga' consists primarily of her own compositions in place of the acoustic traditional sets of her earlier records. Longtime collaborators Bj酶rn Ole Rasch and V盲sen guitarist Roger Tallroth anchor the arrangements, with Lien moving between Hardanger fiddle and Swedish nyckelharpa, heard at the front of the opener 'Loki'. The track 'Inoque' incorporates the singing of Maasai children encountered on Lien's humanitarian trips to East Africa.
