Album Notes & Community Reviews
Directed by Jordi Savall and featuring the breathtaking soprano of Montserrat Figueras, this recording documents the ancient, apocalyptic liturgical drama historically performed on Christmas Eve. The pristine performance revives the medieval Catalan tradition with immense reverence, relying on sparse instrumentation to highlight the profound, ethereal vocal chants.
