Album Notes & Community Reviews
Riding the immense wave of her previous successes, 'Coool' perfectly encapsulates the breezy, cosmopolitan aesthetic of mid-eighties Japanese city pop. Production handles by Toshiki Kadomatsu ensure a seamless blend of synthesized boogie, funk baselines, and soaring pop hooks. The album evokes an idealized, neon-lit urban summer and remains a highly sought-after classic of the genre.
