Album Notes & Community Reviews

A foundational text of East Coast thrash metal, 'Among the Living' perfectly balances blinding speed with massive, anthemic gang-vocal choruses. Anthrax integrated heavy crossover thrash elements and Stephen King-inspired lyricism to create an energetic, highly rhythmic record characterized by its furious mosh parts. It established them as one of the definitive forces in 80s heavy metal.
