Album Notes & Community Reviews
Antonio Adolfo's first tribute to Chiquinha Gonzaga, 'Viva Chiquinha Gonzaga' interprets her compositions with guest appearances by Nilson Chaves and Vital Lima. It appeared on the independent label Adolfo had founded in 1977 to release his own album 'Feito em Casa', making him a pioneer of independent production in Brazil. He returned to Gonzaga's music more than a decade later with the jazz treatment of 'Chiquinha com Jazz'.
