Following his departure from Carcass, guitar virtuoso Michael Amott formed this supergroup to explore a significantly heavier, more aggressive iteration of melodic death metal. Featuring original vocalist Johan Liiva, the debut flawlessly combines intricate, classically inspired dual-guitar harmonies with crushing, mid-paced death metal rhythms. Originally experiencing major success only in Japan, the release laid a massive technical foundation for their impending global dominance.
