Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a massive turning point for the Swedish ensemble, this album introduced German vocalist Angela Gossow, whose ferocious death growls shattered gender norms within extreme metal. 'Wages of Sin' pairs her unrelenting aggression with the Amott brothers' incredibly precise, highly melodic dual-guitar harmonies, reinvigorating the Gothenburg sound for a new era.
