Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the final studio album before their extended breakup, the North Carolina indie-rock icons vastly expanded their traditional guitar-driven sound. The surprising incorporation of synthesizers, vocoders, and sprawling, atmospheric arrangements created a deeply melancholic, highly eclectic swan song that alienated some purists but highlighted their impressive creative growth.
