Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded live in Tokyo, this intimate session captures a transcendent dialogue between the American avant-garde saxophonist and the South African piano master. 'Duet' strips away the fiery dissonance of Shepp's earlier work in favor of a deeply melodic, spiritual approach, beautifully anchored by Ibrahim's rhythmic Cape Town influences.
