Album Notes & Community Reviews
Accompanied by an exceptional acoustic trio featuring Ken Werner on piano, the legendary avant-garde saxophonist delivers a deeply soulful, slightly more restrained session. 'I Know About the Life' honors the traditional roots of jazz and blues while allowing ample space for Shepp's intense, spiritually charged improvisations.
