Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as one of the very first independent heavy metal releases in the Soviet Union, 'Playing With Fire' was completely financed and produced by the band following their departure from their state-sponsored management. Aria delivers a towering masterpiece of classic heavy metal, heavily influenced by Iron Maiden, featuring soaring, epic vocals and politically charged, allegorical lyricism. It cemented their legacy as the godfathers of Russian metal.
