Album Notes & Community Reviews
The final album by the blind tresero who created the conjunto format, 'Arsenio Dice' applies his arranging language of layered trumpet riffs over conga and piano montunos to the New York Latin scene of its moment. Rodr铆guez died in Los Angeles two years later, leaving the son montuno template he built in 1940s Havana as the foundation of salsa.
