Album Notes & Community Reviews

Uniting two of the most distinguished voices in modern jazz, 'Yama' places Art Farmer's lyrical flugelhorn and Joe Henderson's robust tenor within a highly polished, contemporary framework. The lush CTI production heavily incorporates smooth, Latin-tinged fusion rhythms and warm electric keyboards. The session successfully balances sophisticated post-bop harmonic concepts with a breezy, highly accessible summer aesthetic.
