Album Notes & Community Reviews
Returning after a seven-year studio absence, the legendary tenor offered a highly sentimental collection of pop covers and adult contemporary ballads. The slick, understated production perfectly frames his pristine, angelic vocal delivery, notably featuring a soaring rendition of 'When a Man Loves a Woman'. Despite the flawless vocal execution, the album struggled commercially in a rapidly shifting late-eighties pop landscape.
