Album Notes & Community Reviews
Driven by a deeply committed traditionalist, this record captures the spirited, unpretentious energy of the ongoing New Orleans jazz revival. The rough-hewn collective polyphony and driving acoustic rhythms stand in stark opposition to the complex, intellectualized bebop dominating the contemporary New York scene.
