Arboresque

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their third Blue Note release, the quintet 'Arboresque' continues to evolve its collective sound, balancing intricate arrangements with exploratory post-bop improvisation. The album showcases the group's established chemistry through a mix of original compositions from each member and thoughtfully arranged covers, including Wayne Shorter's 'Footprints'. A tight, versatile rhythm section grounds the airtight horn lines of the front line, with a production that captures the band's dynamic interplay and the virtuosic command of each performer.
