Ash Ra Tempel pushed their sprawling, heavily improvisational Krautrock into deeply atmospheric, surprisingly structured psychedelic territory on their sophomore album. 'Schwingungen' is a wonderfully surreal, fiercely energetic space-rock journey, utilizing incredibly hypnotic, highly anxious guitar squalls and deeply cryptic, beautifully atmospheric ambient textures.
