Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at Metalworks Studios in Mississauga and produced by Michael Phillip Wojewoda and Peter Prilesnik, Ashley MacIsaac's major-label debut recasts traditional material as energetic Celtic rock and folk rock. Its centrepiece, 'Sleepy Maggie', is sung in Scottish Gaelic by Mary Jane Lamond, placing virtuosic, rhythm-driven playing at the front of a mainstream rock production.
