Album Notes & Community Reviews

Slug continues his evolution into underground hip-hop's foremost elder statesman, exploring incredibly mature themes of fatherhood, domesticity, and the struggles of aging. 'The Family Sign' relies heavily on live instrumentation, particularly the melancholic guitar work of Ant, to construct a deeply introspective boom-bap aesthetic.
