Album Notes & Community Reviews
Signaling a definitive stylistic transition for the esteemed French ensemble, 'Rock Puzzle' finds Atoll streamlining their complex symphonic origins. The band integrates pronounced disco rhythms, funk-inflected basslines, and shorter, pop-oriented vocal arrangements into their sound. While polarizing their dedicated progressive fanbase, the album successfully illustrates the commercial pressures and evolving sonic landscape of late-seventies European rock.
