Album Notes & Community Reviews

For their third LP, keyboardist Vincent Crane recruited vocalist Pete French, steering the band toward a funkier, slightly more accessible hard rock sound. While maintaining the heavy Hammond organ dominance and dark, gothic undercurrents of their earlier work, the incorporation of brass sections and tighter pop structures yielded the major hit 'Devil's Answer'. It represents the commercial and arguably creative zenith of their turbulent career.
