Pflug

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Radically subverting Austrian folk traditions, the Upper Austrian duo crafted a uniquely aggressive and highly rhythmic sophomore album. 'Pflug' utilizes frantic accordion playing and heavily amplified drum kit percussion to execute rapid-fire, dialect-heavy vocal performances inspired by traditional Gstanzl. The unapologetically raw release essentially birthed a highly experimental, punk-influenced variation of modern Alpine music.
