Cows on Hourglass Pond

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Animal Collective co-founder retreats to a Tascam half-inch tape machine, crafting an incredibly intimate, watery collection of psychedelic folk-pop. The album strips away the chaotic density of his previous solo efforts, opting instead for bouncy acoustic guitars, subtle dub rhythms, and deeply nostalgic, surrealist lyricism. It is a wonderfully warm, inviting record that highlights his enduring talent for eccentric pop melodies.
