Roddy Frame relocated to the United States to collaborate with prominent R&B producers, resulting in a dramatic reinvention of Aztec Camera's sound. The intricate acoustic jangle-pop of their early work was entirely discarded in favor of slick, synthesizer-driven blue-eyed soul and highly polished sophisti-pop arrangements.
